TURKEY FROM 10TH TO 15TH NOVEMBER 2019
We had our first live meeting in Turkey. In the end, after having met each other online, we met in person. We got to know each other better. Three teachers, except two from Spain and nobody from Poland, went to Estambul to receive formation on STEAM and Design Thinking. On the first day we visited IBB Barbaros Hayrettin Pasa school and met the Turkish team formed by seven teachers. We were received by the headmaster and some members of the leading team as well. Students prepared for us a little play and a song about the topic of our project "Waste". Then we started some ice-breaking games to get to know each other and we were introduced with the concept of STEAM. In the afternoon we did some problem-solving activities and went sightseeing in the centre of Estambul. The next day a student made a presentation about their Harezmi project and we had an online meeting with Poland, as they couldn't attend the meeting. We got some agreements about the next mobilities and activities to be done. Then we visited Taksim square and Galata Tower. On the next day we did some formation on Design Thinking and we agreed to follow the process as our way of work in all the tasks we do in the project and all the results ( those done before mobililies and during the mobilities themselves). On the last day we went sightseeing the most important places in Estambul: Haya Sophia, Topkapi palace, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Specie Bazaar... The last night the certificates were handed in by the headmaster in a big dinner party. We had a great time! It was a very productive stay !
